A free assessment to review your child's school situation, strengths, obstacles and what motivates them. You can only fix well what you have understood well.
We build a tailored pathway
Concrete goals, a realistic pace, the right format (online, at home, small group). Every goal is written to be observable — you will always know where your child stands.
We choose the right tutor
Degrees, interview, teaching trial and criminal record check verified. Then careful matching: subject expertise, but also fit with your child's age and personality.
We drive progress, session after session
Active sessions where students explain, practise and make mistakes without fear. After each session, a clear report in your parent space.
We measure and adjust
Regular check-ins with the advisor, formative assessments, pathway adjustments when needed. Support is never set in stone: it grows with your child.
Teaching grounded in research
At Bloom Africa, our teaching choices rest on solid findings from education science and developmental psychology — translated into simple actions everyone can understand.
- Learning just above one’s level. Tutors offer challenges that are neither too easy nor discouraging, and gradually withdraw support as students gain autonomy.
- Praising effort and strategy. We praise the approach rather than “intelligence”: that is how children learn their abilities can grow.
- Assessing to help progress. Frequent, precise and kind feedback — not grades used as sanctions.
- Nurturing motivation from within. Autonomy, a sense of competence and belonging: three needs every session aims to meet.
- Learning how to learn. Planning, self-testing, reviewing: we explicitly teach the strategies top students use without realising it.

Trust cannot be declared, it has to be demonstrated. Here are the concrete, verifiable rules that govern every interaction between an adult and a child on Bloom Africa.
Criminal record check required
No tutor profile is activated without a criminal record extract, renewed periodically, in addition to degrees and interview.
No off-platform contact
No personal phone number or social media shown. Attempts to exchange contact details are automatically blocked.
Recorded sessions
Virtual classes are recorded by default, stored securely and reviewable in case of a report.
Every session is logged
Even one-to-one, every session is scheduled and logged: date, duration, participants. Nothing informal.
Explicit consent
A separate permission for each use of your child’s data or image. Never a blanket consent.
Always-on reporting
A “Report a problem” button available from every page, every profile and every session.
Numbers, only when they are true
You are making an important decision for your child. Every figure published here will be clearly labelled: target, estimate or measured result. We would rather leave a blank than invent a number.
Our families will speak for us
This space will only feature genuine testimonials from parents and students, collected with their written consent. For a minor, parental permission is always required and separate for the text, the first name and any photo.

Yes. Stepping in early, while a difficulty is still limited, is often what stops it from settling in and eroding the child’s confidence. The assessment lets us calibrate light support if that is enough.

Your parent space brings together the session calendar, tutor reports, goals and their progress. Your learning advisor checks in with you regularly.
Mobile money (Orange Money, MTN Mobile Money, Moov Money, Wave) is planned as the main method, plus bank cards for diaspora families — subject to availability at launch. See our plans.
No, and that is deliberate. A parent or legal guardian always creates the account and approves the child’s profile. The student then gets their own age-appropriate space.
